The Community Agriculture Alliance is a advocate for agriculture in the Yampa Valley!
CAA works with regional producers, industry partners, and community members to maintain our heritage and grow the presence of agriculture in northwest Colorado. CAA is expanding local food systems, coordinating and funding land stewardship projects, engaging with local interest groups, and striving for a more connected community. Our work strengthens local economies, supports environmental sustainability, and enriches our community’s health and cultural vitality. In 2024, CAA opened the doors to Yampa Valley Foods. Yampa Valley Foods directly connects our regions agricultural producers to local consumers, and creates a option for our community to make food purchasing decisions that are good for their health, good for the environment, and supportive of their community.

"CAA has been a fantastic partner to our region's agricultural, resort, and nonprofit communities providing education, advice, and encouragement. As the Routt County Extension Agriculture Agent, I work closely with CAA on a variety of programs and events. Our collaborations truly increase the impact and capacity to make a difference in our community." - Todd Hagenbuch, CSU Routt County Extension, Agricultural Agent
