Youth who have experienced foster care are already facing a difficult road that often includes changing environments, sibling separation, and not feeling heard. Elevating Connections offers programming for separated siblings to strengthen their relationship, make memories, and just be kids together. We also provide opportunities for youth to build community and express their unique voices through the arts.

Elevating Connections is dedicated to building sustained positive relationships for current & former youth in foster care-including those experiencing sibling separation-to use their voice & build meaningful community connections.
Elevating Connections is all about strengthening families! Since our founding in 2015, we have continued to provide recreational and youth voice programming for siblings, children, youth, and young adults impacted by foster care that help to build and nurture connections to self, community, siblings, and safe, trusting adults. Having positive, supportive permanent connections while in foster care and beyond can help improve lifelong mental and physical health outcomes.
The sibling relationship is one of the most influential and longest-lasting relationships anyone can experience. Yet the foster care system can separate siblings from one another, putting sibling relationships at a heightened risk of falling apart. The trauma of sibling separation can have lifelong negative impacts on mental health and overall wellbeing.
