Providing Stabilization  |  Preventing Further Crisis

We understand that stabilizing households through basic needs assistance is vital in preventing further crises. By extending a helping hand through basic need services, we not only meet immediate needs but also lay the groundwork for long-term stability and hope. Our community-driven approach ensures that every individual feels supported, valued, and never alone in their journey.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Your contribution can be the beacon of hope that lights someone's path to stability and independence. Your support is essential in transforming lives.

Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and compassion, building a community where no one fears the future, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Every act of generosity counts, and with your help, together we can continue to be the caring neighbors that make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. Join us in this mission to provide help, resources, and hope for a brighter tomorrow for all.

At House of Neighborly Service, we believe in the power of being a caring neighbor.

  • Imagine the comfort a family feels when their home stays warm, thanks to utility assistance that prevents darkness and cold from creeping in.
  • Picture the sense of dignity restored when a parent, previously worried about providing meals, finds their pantry filled with nourishing food that brings smiles and relief to their children's faces.
  • Visualize the gratitude and empowerment experienced by an individual who, with transportation assistance, can confidently attend a job interview, knowing they have the means to secure a brighter future.

House of Neighborly Service (HNS), in Loveland and Berthoud, assists people living in South Larimer County with basic need services: food, clothing, transportation assistance, housing stability, and more. Our goal is to provide help, resources, and hope to stabilize people in low-income and/or situational crises through direct program services.

Donations of $250 or more to HNS are eligible for the 25% Homeless Contribution Tax Credit upon completion of application. Our staff will contact you to verify if you would like to participate in the tax credit opportunity.

ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

House of Neighborly Service is a home-grown agency started in 1961 by the ministerial council of churches and other Southern Larimer County residents to help neighbors that were facing critical situations. They believed in establishing one organized central agency to meet many of the emergency needs that poverty-stricken individuals and families faced then and still are facing today. On January 5, 1968, HNS was incorporated under the laws of the State of Colorado. Today HNS remains a vital part of our community. HNS is a BBB Accredited Charity and has earned Candid/Guidestar's Platinum Transparency.
