Given that this is the last year Bishop Machebeuf High School will be open, we are doing everything we can on campus to ensure a special and one-of-a-kind last year for our current students, families, faculty, and staff. So, we are calling upon our entire community to help!

This year Bishop Machebeuf High School is taking a group of 120 students and chaperones to the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. from  January 22nd - January 26th. Our goal is to ensure that students only have to pay $50 in individual expenses. This is a massive undertaking, and we know we need your support to make this happen! It is our hope to bring the entire Bishop Machebeuf community together in our final year to offer our students the opportunity to participate in this life-changing and life-giving pilgrimage.

Why the National March for Life?

Upholding the dignity of human life is central to living out our Catholic faith. By participating in the National March for Life, our students see that they are not alone in living, supporting, and crying out for culture that knows the sacredness and dignity of human life. They travel across the country with thousands of others from many different faiths who all believe that every person is worthy of life, and they know that they are not alone in speaking out against the Culture of Death that permeates our world. A student from the class of 2025 wrote of the 2024 March for Life, "For one of the first times in my life I thought: 'Wow, being Catholic is actually such a beautiful and cool thing!' Despite the 19-degree weather and snow, 100,000 people still marched for the unborn and their mothers. People truly care and it was extremely evident to me." Our prayer is that each student will be profoundly moved to continue working for the pro-life movement and that they learn how to recognize Jesus even in the meekest human beings.

What Will We Do in Washington D.C.?

In addition to participating in the National March for Life on Friday, January 24th, students will have the opportunity to visit and pray in pilgrimage sites throughout Washington, D.C. including the Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the John Paul II Shrine, and the Dominican House of Studies. They will also be able to visit museums and monuments in this most important city of our country's history and government including the Washington and Lincoln Memorials, the Bible Museum, the Holocaust Museum, and the Smithsonian. Reflecting on last year's trip a student said, "On this trip, my friend reminded me that 'you are beautifully and wonderfully made'. This became the theme for the rest of the pilgrimage. Even in the Bible Museum I was reminded that humanity is such a beautiful gift". This trip integrates our students' faith

We are entrusting our trip to Our Lady, Mother of the Church and asking that she intercede for our students as they spiritually prepare for this beautiful pilgrimage.

Please prayerfully consider donating on CO Gives Day (12/10) so we can make this trip possible for so many students.

Mission

Bishop Machebeuf High School, founded in 1958, prepares students to encounter Christ and to respond to God’s call in college, career, and beyond. Steeped in the tradition of Catholic and Liberal Arts education, and inspired by the joy of the Gospel, we form students in a rigorous academic environment that integrate each student’s life, faith, and culture as they face the challenges of a contemporary, secular society. The school community reflects the universality of the Catholic Church and invites all students to become faithful disciples and citizens. Machebeuf students form a strong community through their desire to be disciples of Christ, their love for one another, and their participation in the life of the school and Church.
