Newborn Hope, Inc., a Colorado 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, raises funds and supports programs for the advancement of maternal, fetal and neonatal healthcare and well being.
Since 1973, Newborn Hope has been steadfast in its mission to provide comprehensive care and unwavering support to families impacted by prematurity throughout Colorado.
Our commitment spans a range of vital programs, from prenatal education aimed at promoting safe pregnancies and early detection of preterm labor risks, to supplying essential equipment to organizations statewide dedicated to improving outcomes for premature infants.
We also host an annual education conference for medical professionals, focusing on emerging trends and best practices in NICU care. Furthermore, we offer post-NICU support to Colorado families as they transition back home, ensuring they have the resources and guidance they need during this critical time.
At Newborn Hope, our unwavering mission revolves around supporting families impacted by prematurity, providing essential resources and educational materials tailored to preemies and their unique needs. We strive to be a beacon of hope in the NICU journey, offering guidance and assistance to healthcare professionals while advocating for increased funding to further our cause.
With a focus on prematurity education and access to vital resources, we stand as a trusted ally for families navigating the complexities of neonatal care. Together, we're building a brighter future for premature babies and their families
Our story
Fifty-one years ago, a premature baby was born to a friend of Zoya Dickins Miller. Tragically, the baby girl passed, and Zoya was haunted by the fact that her friend's baby might have survived with the knowledge, training, and resources in the NICU today, thus the start of November Noel.
The first benefit luncheons ("November Noel") held in Colorado Springs and Denver were launched by Zoya in 1973 in memory of a premature baby with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). The monies raised were used for RDS research. Fourteen years later, Newborn Hope was incorporated as a nonprofit organization, with the change in name reflecting the broader mission.
Zoya had a dream to help prevent premature births in Colorado while improving the outcome of premature babies and their families. Through our comprehensive programs, community outreach, and advocacy efforts, we strive to create a world where every preemie's journey home from the NICU is within reach. We aim to inspire a ripple effect of hope and empowerment that transforms individual lives and strengthens families and communities.
