To present professional theater created by national and local artists for the entertainment and enrichment of our diverse community. To provide youth with educational opportunities to see and participate in professional productions of important plays.
Background Statement
Thingamajig Theatre Company was founded in 2010 by theatre professionals each specializing in different aspects of theatre including, design, children's education, production, technical theatre, performance and fundraising from Colorado, Wyoming, and Nevada to bring a high standard of professional theatre to a small rural community. The board of Thingamajig Theatre Company looked in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Colorado for a small rural community that was ripe for, yet lacking, this opportunity. Pagosa Springs was a community with high potential that has historically lacked the organization and leadership to create solid foundations and a community identity.
