The Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra inspires, educates & empowers our youth through orchestral music training and performance.

We believe in sharing the joy of serious musical education with all students and creating confident and independent young musicians who can carry their musical skills into all aspects of their lives. The Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra provides student musicians in the Roaring Fork Valley region the opportunity to play in an orchestra from kindergarten through high school and a path towards musical excellence. Rehearsals take place in Aspen, Carbondale, New Castle and Silt. Scholarships and an instrument lending library make the RFYO accessible for all families.

La Orquesta Juvenil de Roaring Fork brinda a los estudiantes de música de la región de Roaring Fork Valley la oportunidad de tocar en una orquesta desde el jardín de infantes hasta la escuela secundaria y un camino hacia la excelencia musical. Los ensayos tienen lugar en Aspen, Carbondale, New Castle y Silt. Las becas y una biblioteca de préstamo de instrumentos hacen que la RFYO sea accesible para todas las familias.

By offering scholarships for private lessons and tuition and loaning instruments to students free of charge the RFYO aims to eliminate all barriers to participation. More than 1500 community members attend the RFYO's free, family-friendly concerts and events each year.

It is our goal to have a meaningful impact on every student, for each student to experience a connection with their peers, teachers and the audience through the creation and performance of each musical work. 

Al ofrecer becas para clases privadas, matrícula y préstamo de instrumentos a los estudiantes de forma gratuita, la RFYO pretende eliminar todas las barreras a la participación. Más de 1500 miembros de la comunidad asisten cada año a los conciertos y eventos familiares gratuitos de RFYO.

Nuestro objetivo es tener un impacto significativo en cada estudiante, que cada estudiante experimente una conexión con sus compañeros, maestros y el público a través de la creación e interpretación de cada obra musical.
