Background Statement
Steven and Vicki Ramirez founded Shiloh House in January 1985. The program started with one home, sixteen boys and six staff members. In March of 1987, an on-grounds school was established in Littleton to address the educational needs of youth and provide a greater continuity of care.
Shiloh House continues to provide residential and educational services, and has developed additional programs in the areas of day treatment, outpatient therapy, and community outreach services across Colorado.
In 2012, Shiloh launched the Beyond the Walls program, a community resource network for young adults ages 16-26, in need of support for academic, employment, and independent living goals.
Today, Shiloh House has six campuses throughout the state that span from Centennial to Longmont. Shiloh continues to achieve accreditation through the Council on Accreditation and is a member of the Child Welfare League of America.
Steven and Vicki remain true to their original mission of meeting the needs of youth by providing consistent treatment in a loving, homelike environment. That mission has grown, reaching over 1,400 youth and families in 2021 through Shiloh House's coordinated, continuous, and wrap-around care to youth and families.
