Founded in Golden by two female Colorado natives. YES! helps teens in Haiti transition out of the orphanage system. YES! teaches them practical life skills, how to manage their finances, complete their education, apply to Universities, learn a trade, and take on a meaningful role in their community.  In 2020, YES! expanded the efforts of the organization by establishing a VBS/Feeding Program. Due to the ongoing crisis and gang activity in Haiti, we’ve adapted our support for students and families in Port-au-Prince by visiting them at home or inviting them to the YES! office. Each month, we not only provide small funds for food and water but also provide much needed hope and love. Our staff review homework and introduce new lessons in Math, English, French, and Science, with Bible stories included. Students receive candy as a reward for completing homework and for good grades. Typically, staff visit 3-5 families a few times a week, depending on distance and safety.

Testimonial from one of our Young Adults:
Words from Esther:
Who shared her gratitude for our help in finding employment:
“I thank God for helping me to graduate. After graduating from pharmacy tech school, I was able to find a job. YES! taught me life skills and how to find a job. I thank all at YES! because it was you that helped me reach the next level.”

Testimonial from one of our Feeding Program Students:
Words from Woodeley:
"Hi! For me I am very proud of myself because I am doing well in the YES! school program. Without YES! help, I would not be able to go to school and learn. The YES! staff helps me a lot with homework, and they are very glad to help when they came. The financial help with buying food is so helpful as our family really needs it. Thank you so much.”

Due to the current situation and conditions in Haiti and especially in Port-au-Prince, YES! needs have increased and continue each day. We have more and more children in our feeding program each week.

With your support, we can help more children, teens, and young adults in Haiti. Will you join us? Will you share YES! with a friend and ask them to donate?

Help us continue to bring hope and love to the children and people of Haiti.

Thank you for your consideration and prayers.

Mission

YES! mission is to encourage and empower young adults as they transition out of orphanages in Haiti and into adulthood. We teach them practical adult life skills. We help them manage their finances, complete their educations, apply to universities, learn a trade and take on a meaningful roll in their community. And we encourage them to become leaders and good Haitian citizens. YES! is helping to keep families stay together. At least 80% of all children living in an orphanage have one or two living parents who want them but do not have the finances to provide them with food or meet their needs.

Background Statement

The two founders of YES! began their mission in January 2008, focusing on rebuilding New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. They then worked in Rwanda from 2008 to 2010 with an organization that supported genocide survivors in creating a self-reliant community and school, emphasizing empowerment and sustainability. Their first trip to Port Au Prince, Haiti, in 2011 marked the beginning of their commitment to vulnerable children in orphanages. From 2012 to 2015, they witnessed the challenges these youth faced, particularly the risks of leaving the orphanage at 18, often feeling disconnected from their homeland. In 2015, they founded YES!, with Beth moving to Haiti full-time and receiving support from Dawn in the U.S. and Nicole on the board. By February 2016, YES! became a 501(c)(3), and the board expanded over the years. In 2020, they launched a feeding program aimed at keeping children with their families. In 2021, after six years of knowing each other, Beth married Pierre, and together they continue to bring change, hope, and love to the young adults and children of Haiti.
