How much does it cost to join ColoradoGives.org?
This site remains FREE for nonprofits to join! Donors who give through ColoradoGives.org pay one fee. That fee is 3.99% and includes processing and platform fees. When donors do not cover the fee, only the 2.05% payment processing is withheld from the donation.

What happens after I enroll?
Once you enroll, you will be reviewed/approved as an administrator to manage your organization page on ColoradoGives.org. We’ll send you an email once you are approved.
You will then need to complete your nonprofit profile. All the required profile items are noted on your To-Do List when you log into your organization’s page.
When all the required to-do list items are completed, your nonprofit profile will be automatically reviewed. If there are no concerns or issues, then the nonprofit profile will be automatically approved at which point it will be included in public search on the site and can receive donations. If there is anything that requires some additional attention before the profile can be approved, we’ll let you know how to resolve the issue.

What is a Certificate of Registration and a Certificate of Good Standing?
The Certificate of Registration is issued by the Charities and Fundraisers Division of the Colorado Secretary of State’s office. It enables your organization to legally fundraise in Colorado.
The Certificate of Good Standing is issued by the Business Division of the Colorado Secretary of State’s office. Organizations (including nonprofit organizations) operating in Colorado are required to have a record on file with the Business Division of the Colorado Secretary of State, and the Certificate of Good Standing is the document issued related to that filing
Most organizations that participate in ColoradoGives.org are required to have both a valid Certificate of Registration and a Certificate of Good Standing.
An exception to this is that if your organization is classified as a church, then it is just required to have a valid Certificate of Good Standing.

The final day to enroll is November 24, 2024 at midnight. But don't wait! Once you complete all your to-do items, you'll be live and ready to fundraise. If you miss the deadline, you can enroll when we re-open after Colorado Gives Day on December 11, 2024.
No. Once you are live on the site you can fundraise all year every year. We do monthly checks with the IRS and Colorado Secretary of State to ensure your organization remains in compliance. We will notify you if you fall out of compliance and provide you with correct steps to take.
