PAFC seeks to make Larimer County a livable community that values people throughout their lifespan and recognizes the needs and preferences of older adults and ensure that the community provides attainable housing, adequate transportation options, and supportive community features and services.

OUR MISSION: TO FOSTER LEADERSHIP AND STRONG COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS THAT WILL PLAN, DESIGN, AND IMPLEMENT SUSTAINABLE STRATEGIES TO ENHANCE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR OLDER ADULTS IN LARIMER COUNTY

Our goals:
- Assist older adults with individual emergency needs that cannot be met by other agencies.
- Support coordination and collaboration among senior service providers.
- Identify unmet needs of older adults in the community.
- Raise funds and provide supplemental funding for provider agencies to develop and maintain needed senior services.
- Educate the community about the needs of older adults and the resources to meet those needs.
- Provide financial aid to low income seniors in need of emergency assistance
- Promote and facilitate collaboration among for-profit and nonprofit providers of services to local seniors.
- Develop resources to strengthen, support awareness of and improve access to senior services.
- Advocate for a senior-friendly community.
PAFC was founded by a collaboration between the Larimer County Office on Aging and the Foundation on Aging for Larimer County. In 2013 PAFC had a stakeholder's meeting. Out of that meeting, we developed four priority groups, each of which is made up of stakeholders from around Larimer County. Those priority groups are:
√ CULTURE OF AGING: To positively impact the attitudes, values and behaviors in Larimer County with regard to aging.
√ HEALTH AND WELLNESS: To ensure that Larimer County residents of middle age and beyond enjoy optimal emotional, physical and spiritual health.
√ HOUSING: To promote housing options that provide seniors with a variety of housing choices sufficient to meet their individual needs.
√ MOBILITY AND ACCESS: To ensure that all older residents in Larimer County have access to key services and quality of life opportunities.
In 2018 PAFC hired a full-time Executive Director to help manage and support the work of over 130 volunteers and collaborating partners.
