Mary Adrian Memorial Scholarship Fund for Adult Learners and Leaders

In honor of Mary Adrian's life, Mary's family and RRCC colleagues are developing a scholarship in her memory. Please consider making a contribution in any amount to establish a one-time $2,500 scholarship supporting adult learners attending Red Rocks Community College in Academic Year 2024-25. Every donation will be matched dollar for dollar through Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative in honor of our true friend and amazing advocate for adult learners, herself having been one.

"It only makes sense that since I am personally a life long learner and currently earning a long overdue degree, that I would work for an institution of higher education. I love helping students find the resources and support they need to be successful in college. The variety of hats I wear within my position taps into many skills including creative problem solving, organizing, directing, designing, communicating, training, coordinating, purchasing, information gathering, implementing and so much more. Everyday is different and it's true...you learn something new everyday! At least it's true for me."

Mary fought a courageous fight since September of 2024 against very aggressive leukemia. Despite all the treatments, doctor visits, tests, and hospital stays, she always kept a positive outlook, looking at the glass half full - in true Mary fashion. That was her outlook on life. She will be tremendously missed by those of us who knew her.
