Rocky Mountain Biking is a family owned and operated mountain bike rental and tour service based out of Lakewood, CO. We have access to such great trails for novice and expert riders. We know, because we ride them often. We strongly believe in supporting our local trails which is why we are a Blue Diamond Sponsor for COMBA and have supported them with over $6,000 in donations in the past three years. We have also supported the COMBA Women's Program through volunteer support. Please join us and support more and better trails in Colorado.
About COMBA:
Since 1991, the Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA) has been driven to create more and better trail experiences along Colorado's Front Range for mountain bikers. Through fund raising, donations, grants, membership dues and partner support, COMBA has helped create and maintain over 500 miles of trails along the Front Range.
Mountain biking advocacy and trails have come a long way over the years. With more and more diverse trail experiences that fit the skills of a variety of riders, our Colorado Gives Day fundraising efforts are a key part of keeping those efforts moving forward.
Quality trails and communities don’t magically appear, they happen because of organizations like COMBA and the help of our many members and volunteers. Without their support our Front Range trail scene wouldn't be what it is today. Since 2019, COMBA has worked hard to provide bike-only directional experiences for all level of riders like:
- The Sluice at Floyd Hill
- Apex (rules change)
- Longhorn (rules change)
- Hard Money at Maryland Mountain
- Fast Money at Maryland Mountain
- Ore Chute at Maryland Mountain
- LOTB bike-only trail (coming, 2023)
- VCMP - West (coming 2023)
- VCMP - East (coming 2023)
And while they're not both bike-only and directional, let's not forget South Dakota Ridge (our first bike-only trail in the area) and the reworked Warren Gulch trail which we re-opened earlier this year! Add to that our seasonal maintenance staff completing its second year of rehabbing and improving trails all over the Front Range and it all makes a big difference to the local riding experiences!
