Raw Groove Presents… is a live performance and party series bringing together Denver’s most vibrant artists, dancers, DJs and musicians. This event, hosted by up and coming Denver based fusion dance collective Raw Groove, celebrates the creativity, resilience, and power of art from the Black Diaspora, offering an unforgettable experience where music, dance, history, and togetherness converge.

Rooted in the nightlife traditions of the Black Diaspora, Raw Groove Presents… invites you to join a journey that honors the lineage of timeless steps and rhythms through a reimagined lens. Each evening promises a curated lineup of live music, DJ sets, mesmerizing performances, line dancing, and an after party—all set to soundtracks ranging from Funk to House to Afrobeats. Each component of the night is designed to connect you more deeply with the soul of each highlighted music and dance genre.

Raw Groove Presents… aims to foster spaces where BIPOC artists not only perform but thrive in environments that respect fair wages, value creative input, and embrace artistic daring. This series also serves as a gathering space where diverse communities come together in celebration of history, spirit and catharsis.

Raw Groove is a multifaceted dance collective that has been performing throughout Colorado since 2021. Formed by University of Colorado Boulder alumni, Taylor Madgett and Constance Harris, Raw Groove aims to shine light on the dynamic and joy-inducing power of dances of the African diaspora. Specializing in a fusion of styles ranging from Afrobeats, House, Hip-Hop, Twerk and Dancehall, Raw Groove not only performs but is committed to providing education and producing events dedicated to building community and uplifting the cultures of the dances they perform. Members of the group have been on faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder and Mi Chantli dance studio of Boulder, are regular contributors to the Raqs Online dance platform, and have been featured frequently as performers for some of Colorado’s most lively dance festivals such as CRAFt, Freeform, and Viva Brazil!,  and parties such as Scatta Afrobeats, Love Language and HYPE!
