Alex's Fundraiser: ASP Prevent Suicide 2024!

In my experience, the only way to successfully navigate this world is with community so my why is all about building community and expanding spaces to invite all people to feel welcome and express themselves as they are. My purpose at ASP is to give my time and professional experience to an organization that fosters those communities and works to destigmatize investing in your mental health and encourages vulnerability. As Board President, my goal was to empower the Executive Director to create an inclusive workplace for all ASP employees and volunteers and provide leadership coaching and structure to strengthen the position of the organization. 

The Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those impacted by suicide. In our community, a suicide happens every 5-6 days, and it remains a leading cause of death among youth. However, there is hope—the suicide rate in Larimer County has consistently decreased since 2020, and we are the only county in Colorado to achieve this!
