Program and Garden Support

Garden to Table brings learning to life in school gardens, and you can help! We receive no direct funding from school districts, and annual donations from our partner schools cover just 15% of the cost of the program, leaving our small but mighty staff and board to fundraise for the remaining 85%. A donation of $40 will pay for one child to participate in garden-based learning for one year. Our program impacts nearly 6,000 students, 300 teachers, and over 200 volunteers across 16 schools.

We need 10% of our annual budget to come from individual donations, and 15% from corporate sponsorships. Our 2022-2024 USDA grant helped us improve and grow our student impact, and we are fully committed to continuing that success.  We need your support to make that happen!

Recent highlights from our updated curriculum and augmented program supports:

• Our new Lesson Menu provides up to three scheduled and supported lessons per season, up from just one in past years
• 44% increase in student garden visits compared to pre-pandemic numbers
• 10% increase in teacher satisfaction in 2024 compared to 2022 - up to 92% last school year!
• 97% of teachers report increased student engagement and learning associated with garden lessons
• Every grade level has at least one key garden task every season, and 40% of lessons have planting, harvesting and/or tasting!
