Oliver, affectionately known as Oli, began his journey in life under heartbreaking circumstances. At just 5 years old, he was discovered sleeping on a dirty mattress, alone and scared, wearing a diaper, and struggling to express himself. When social services stepped in, it was clear that Oli needed a guiding hand—someone to help him navigate a world he had been withdrawn from.
Fortunately, he was assigned a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) who recognized the incredible potential within him. With her extensive experience working with developmentally delayed children, she understood that what Oli needed most was a consistent presence and a safe environment. For the past 2 1/2 years, she has been his unwavering supporter, visiting him every month, regardless of his challenges and changes. She has closely monitored his progress through her dedicated efforts, celebrating his achievements and advocating for his needs with passion and commitment.
Thanks to the CASA Volunteer's relentless advocacy, a potential adoptive family has been found, bringing Oli a step closer to a loving home. CASA of Mesa County serves over 200 children each year, each with their own stories filled with hope and resilience. By supporting this vital organization, you help ensure that every child like Oli has a voice, a champion, and the chance to create a brighter future. Together, we can be the hope they need, transforming their stories from ones of hardship to ones of love and belonging.
