West Douglas Colorado Mustangs

These are two of the lucky West Douglas Colorado mustangs who got bids in the November online auction as most did not. And we could only pick two. The mare was rounded up in September of 2023 and the gelding in 2021. I was at the round up in 2023 and the gelding is a true survivor. If you remember, in April of 2022 many West Douglas mustangs died due to an outbreak of EHV in the holding facility. So not only has this boy waited three years for his freedom he was one of the lucky ones who survived when so many others died. They will both be going to Ohio for gentling and training with our friend Mackenzie at Wild at Heart Equine Gentling. Let’s give these two the best chance possible of succeeding in their new beginning!! If we reach this goal they will be set for three months and will be picked up on January 24th. We could really use your help as we did not fundraise before we got them safe but we are so hopeful you will see the value in their lives. Thank you for helping us help them💜
