Maddie's Fundraiser: ASP Prevent Suicide 2024!

I discovered the Alliance for Suicide Prevention shortly after a loved one died by suicide and instantly felt called to the organization's mission --  prevent suicide in Larimer County through training and education, providing outreach, and offering support. Coming from a public health background, I believe education is prevention, and wanted to get involved with an organization that centers itself around education, mental health advocacy, and community engagement. As I learned more about this organization, I was in awe of the staff. ASP staff are genuinely dedicated to ensuring all Northern Colorado residents have the opportunity to be healthy and thrive. As a board member, I am proud to support the work being done at ASP to prevent suicide in Larimer County.

The Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those impacted by suicide. In our community, a suicide happens every 5-6 days, and it remains a leading cause of death among youth. However, there is hope—the suicide rate in Larimer County has consistently decreased since 2020, and we are the only county in Colorado to achieve this!
