My CSM Embraces Families

When I became a new parent, I quickly learned how challenging it can be to find welcoming spaces for the whole family. Many places feel designed either for adults or for children, but rarely both. That’s why Clyfford Still Museum’s Art Crawl program holds such a special place in my heart—and why I’m raising funds for it this Colorado Gives Day.

CSM’s Art Crawl is an innovative program that invites babies and their caregivers to explore art in a welcoming, engaging environment. Guided by skilled Museum educators, families move through the galleries surrounded by Still’s inspiring works, sparking curiosity and connection with thoughtful, art-based activities. It’s a chance to connect, learn, and bond in a space that understands the unique needs of young families.

The success of Art Crawl has even inspired museums across the country to adopt CSM’s approach, and CSM has partnered with local nonprofits to bring Art Crawl beyond its walls—ensuring families who might not otherwise have access can enjoy this program. This inclusive outreach excites me most, as CSM’s learning team has big plans to continue expanding Art Crawl across Denver, reaching families regardless of their ability to pay or travel to the Museum.
