We are privileged to be featured on “Word of Thanks” during Next with Kyle Clark on 9 News Denver!

Alternatives to Violence provides shelter, advocacy, education and resources for people impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Since 1982, Alternatives to Violence has offered survivors the opportunity to heal both emotionally and physically in a supportive environment. Each year, we provide emergency shelter, safety planning, advocacy, and referrals to local resources to over 1,600 people. In 2022, our SafeHouse was 100% occupied and we received 1,413 crisis calls.

With your support and generosity, we can help even more people struggling to leave a life of abuse. Your donations make a life-changing difference in the lives of our clients. Funds help to give survivors the tools they need to thrive on their own.

  • $25 provides groceries or gas gift card for a victim
  • $50 provides a victim of violence with the essential items they may have left behind
  • $75 provides one night of shelter to a victim and children
  • $100 provides transportation for victims and children to school, court appearances, and medical appointments
  • $200 provides electricity, water, and heat for 8 families in the shelter
  • $1000 helps a family of 4 transitioning out of our Emergency Residental Shelter move and furnish their own apartment

Thank you for joining Kyle Clark in supporting Alternatives to Violence and the work we do to help survivors in our area!
