Beacons Denver Youth Board

Creating Opportunities for a Boundless High School Experience

As high school students in Metro Denver, we see the rising cost of participating in activities both in and outside school. As a Board, we are raising money to help reduce the financial burden of these programs for our peers. 

Our mission is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in activities that help them thrive. We will support schools and organizations in Metro Denver, focusing on underfunded schools or programs within our community. We seek to provide an equal opportunity for our peers to participate in any activity, club, or class trip. We will help schools to support students taking a college entrance exam, AP course, or support college and scholarship application fees that lead to new opportunities after high school. We will build awareness of how rising costs limit crucial experiences for high school students to discover their interests and passions.

We are excited to share that we have received a match from the Hemera Foundation for the first $5,000 we raise in fundraising! We hope you will also consider supporting our work as we help our peers have a boundless high school experience.
