I have always had a strong passion for helping people involved with healthcare and loved serving in the profession for my entire career. I was involved with cancer, trauma and surgery in my work, so when I was asked by a close friend who nearly lost his arm and life to a rare bone cancer to participate with The Limb Preservation Foundation (LPF), I wanted to get involved.
It’s ironic that I have since learned of other close friends that have had their limb saved and others that have lost a limb. I am grateful to be involved in The Limb Preservation Foundation which provides financial, emotional, educational and research support for the community of patients who are at risk of limb loss due to tumor, trauma and infection. I am a member of the Board of Directors, the Nomination committee and the Golf committee.
It’s surprising to know 28 million Americans are at risk of amputation, so chances are you will encounter someone who has faced or is facing this difficult journey. LPF is the only U.S. nonprofit that provides financial assistance to low-income patients/families for vital needs such as mortgages, utilities, medical/transportation lodging and so much more. Working in healthcare, I witnessed such physical hardships and recognize what a blessing it is that LPF helps to ease burdens for families while they are facing one of the toughest situations of their lives.
This year during the holiday season, I am asking for your help by supporting a cause dear to my heart. I can attest to the fact that your support will make a profound difference and will be used for limb patients in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Some of ways your donation will make an impact are noted in the graphic to the left. I will personally match each donation made to my campaign with a dollar. You’ll truly make a difference to our unique and important community. Thank you for considering and wishing you a wonderful holiday season! ~~Beth
