Since 1991, the Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA) has been striving to create more and better trail experiences for mountain bikers along Colorado's Front Range. Through fundraising, donations, grants, membership dues, and partner support, COMBA has helped create and maintain over 500 miles of trails in the region
After eight years in the making, we're excited to open our newest trail system, Trek Trails at Virginia Canyon Mountain Park in Idaho Springs. We're thrilled to offer some incredible new trails for you all to ride, but we're not finished just yet. We need your help to open the next trail, Myers Flyer, a memorial trail for longtime mountain bike advocate Gary Myers, who passed away in August 2019. Gary was a formidable mountain biker, rising to become one of the top competitors in the Masters class and winning multiple U.S. National and World Masters Championships in the 1990s.
The new Myers Flyer trail will add a .6 mile, black diamond bike-only descent to the existing network and will utilize features such as table-top jumps, rock gardens, and drops. As someone who lived for the thrills found on two wheels, this trail will be built just the way Gary would have wanted. Anticipated opening is Spring of 2025.
To accelerate the construction of this trail, we're thrilled to announce that Gary's longtime partner, Sybil Praski, has generously agreed to match all donations up to the first $25,000. This means your contribution will have double the impact
Please consider giving generously in Gary's memory to help create a remarkable trail, a fitting tribute to a beloved member of our mountain biking community.
