GWHS Food Pantry

GWHS Food Pantry provides access to food, hygiene, and other necessities to students and staff at George Washington High School. We are currently serving approximately 60 families per week and have served over 200 unique visitors to date in the 2024-25 school year, each of whom represents an average family size of 6 people. The Pantry is open every Wednesday during the school year (excluding holiday break times). Additionally, during Thanksgiving, Winter, Spring & Summer breaks we offer break baskets. Our mission is to support our Patriot families with food scarcity needs. We believe it is challenging to learn when hungry and hope to bridge the gap for weekends and evenings for our students & staff. This year, we have incorporated student volunteers to help stick shelves and staff the pantry, so they n doing so allowing those served to become a part of the solution and build a more vibrant and interactive community.
