The Clumsy Calico Cat Cafe will be opening in 2025!
This unique environment will provide a cage-free space for cats to explore and enjoy the company of people at their leisure. People will be able to interact with the cats while enjoying snack and drinks and learn about cat behavior. This will promote adoptions and help kitties find their new homes.
We are currently in lease negotiations, working with the city's zoning department, and obtaining all of the permits and documents that we need to officially open.
This process has been long and we are very excited to finally move into a space and let the real work begin! The next steps include renovating and creating an environment that is cat safe and appealing to the cats. We want to enhance their personalities and comfort levels so they can really shine and show adopters who they are.
The money raised for the Colorado Gives campaign will go to start up costs, including adding appropriate flooring, adding washer & dryer hookups, installing washer & dryer, creating a litterbox space, and any other necessary modifications to make the space safe for cats.
