MHFB Youth: Empowering LGBTQ+ and Ally Students Through Music

About the Camp

Mile High Freedom Bands Youth Camp is a week-long experience designed to empower and inspire high school students through the universal language of music. Held annually, this program is entirely free for participants, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to explore their musical talents without the burden of financial barriers.

Who Can Attend?

Any LGBTQ+ or ally student who will be in high school in the upcoming academic year, as well as recently graduated seniors. Our inclusive approach fosters a supportive and accepting environment where students can thrive both musically and personally. 

 Scholarships for Seniors

Graduating seniors have the opportunity to earn scholarships. Since the inception of the program, we have awarded over $3,500 in scholarships to deserving students. These scholarships provide crucial financial support as they transition to higher education or pursue their musical aspirations.

Your generous donation directly supports the essential components of the MHFB Youth Band Camp, including:

1. Camp Operations: Covering the costs of facilities, instruments, sheet music, t-shirts, and other necessary supplies.

2. Meals: Providing meals and snacks so students can focus on their musical growth without concern for basic needs.

3. Scholarships: Continuing and expanding our scholarship fund to support even more graduating seniors.
