Det. Rachel Ducat- Douglas County Sheriff's Office

Douglas County Sheriff's Office Detective Rachel Ducat passed away after a courageous and long-fought battle with cancer. 

“Detective Ducat served the Douglas County Sheriff's Office with honor and distinction for the past nine years," said Sheriff Darren Weekly. "She demonstrated drive and commitment to our profession, especially to her role as a Detective in the Special Victims Unit. Her contributions to the safety of our community and her relentless spirit in the face of extreme adversity have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to work alongside her and, more importantly, to be her friend. Rachel was extremely proud to be a law enforcement officer and to be part of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office."

Before her passing, Detective Ducat asked that all donations in leu of flowers for her memorial be sent to the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation.
