The Denver Streets Partnership (DSP) is a coalition of community organizations advocating for people-friendly streets in Denver. Our staff operates as part of the 501(c)3, Bicycle Colorado.

OUR VISION
We envision an equitable and vibrant Denver where human dignity is the guiding principle for our transportation system and communities, with living, public spaces that allow everyone to thrive and connect to what matters most to them.

OUR MISSION
We advocate for the cultural and systemic changes necessary to reduce our city’s unsustainable dependence on cars and to design communities that put people first. Learn more about our approach on our website.

OUR WORK IN 2024
With the support of Denverites like you, we achieved a lot for people-friendly streets this year.  Here are just some of the wins we are celebrating:

  • State legislation that passed in the 2024 session, including:
    • oil and gas production fees to provide over $100 million for transit
    • elimination of minimum parking requirements
    • funding to directly go to projects to improve vulnerable road users safety
  • City Council approval of amendments to the Denver Deserves Sidewalks ordinance, allowing the program to officially launch in January of 2025
  • RTD Board approval of a Vision Zero strategy, developed in partnership with local organizations and community members
  • Mayor Johnston’s reaffirmation of Denver’s commitment to Vision Zero and the goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and serious injuries by 2030, and announcement of new speed-reduction strategies on Federal Boulevard and Alameda Avenue - two of Denver’s most dangerous streets
  • Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from commercial deliveries through our E-bikes for Deliveries program.
  • Delivery of twenty five free ebike 101 classes for all ages and abilities, in partnership with Bicycle Colorado
  • Successful pilot of a Bicycle Rewards Program that provided financial incentives for people to ride bikes
  • Growing grassroots support for a continuous bus lane for the entire Federal Blvd Corridor
  • Providing Denver voters with an informative guide to make informed decisions about the issues we stand for in the 2024 general election

Help us continue this important work into 2025, because the people of Denver deserve a complete transportation system with human dignity in mind.
