Durango Winter Sports Club (DWSC) is home to the Alpine, Freestyle, Freeride, and Snowboard teams as well as the Gromlins development program. The Scholarship and Support Program helps ensure that the many costs involved with winter sports do not act as a limiting factor to an athlete’s entry or continued participation in the sport of competitive skiing and snowboarding.

Each year, DWSC awards between $10,000-$25,000 in tuition discounts to families with financial need.  The last two years we have provided over $50,000 in reduced tuition to families in need, which doesn't account for the baseline 10% subsidized tuition fees.  Scholarships and subsidized tuition fees are enabled by our sponsors, donors, and volunteers.  Please be sure to thank our supporters!

A growing demand stretches these dollars.  45 athletes (about 20%) of our participants received some kind of support last season.  We believe a robust scholarship program is an important aspect of our community.  Being able to maintain this level of financial support is mission critical - enabling youth to pursue a life-long sport, grow as a person, and be a part of a community.

With your donation, we can make skiing and snowboarding more accessible for young people in Southwest Colorado, and be stewards of winter and youth sports for our region. Join us in this mission!
