Please help me raise funds for a cause I care about: Rett Syndrome!
Rett Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that primarily affects girls, with an incidence rate of 1 in every 10,000 to 15,000 female births. Characterized by a period of normal development followed by a regression phase, the disorder leads to severe impairments in motor skills, communication, and coordination. Symptoms include loss of purposeful hand skills, slowed growth, breathing abnormalities, and seizures, profoundly impacting the lives of those affected and their families.
RMRA (Rocky Mountain Rett Association) is committed to improving the quality of life for children and families affected by Rett Syndrome through resources, advocacy, education, and awareness. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, RMRA funded the establishment of the Rett Clinic and continues to support its operations through donations. For more information, visit www.rmrett.org.
As with all RMRA events, the event helps sustain the Rett Clinic at Children’s Hospital Colorado, which supports families dealing with this terrible disease.
