Erin's Fundraiser to Benefit The Right Step, Inc.

Hi! 👋 I'm Erin, a volunteer at The Right Step, Inc., which is an  adaptive riding and horsemanship program in Colorado where people with a range of disabilities benefit from the healing power of horses.

While I went to pony camp as a kid, what really drew me to the program was hearing the stories and seeing young clients of the program (kids my own kids age) with disabilities grow and find a safe place to be. 

As parents we're always looking to advocate and support our children. The Right Step's program provides that, helping our clients young and old improve self-esteem, sense of belonging in social settings, improve strength and energy, and realize achievements once never thought possible. ❤️

Help me reach my fundraising goal of $2,500 to care for our horses, fund scholarships for clients, and support our staff and volunteers who provide lessons! Donations directly benefit:

• Our Veterans Program - to help veterans build confidence, trust, and emotional healing through connections made with our horses. 
• Keeping JP's (my sons favorite horse) fed and housed
• Our Adaptive Riding Program - to help those with disabilities experience improvement in their cognitive, physical, emotional and social well-being thanks to the equine assisted activities utilized in therapeutic riding.
• Keeping Dot's (who is on the mend with a leg injury) stall bedded with shavings
• Feeding FredBob (our American Quarter Horse who loves peppermints!) his hay
• Our Ground Based Program - to give clients the opportunity to learn horsemanship skills and have positive interactions with our horses without riding.
• Keeping Chiclet healthy and happy (and out of the ICU like a recent colic scare)
• Keeping Blondie (our newest horse!) health with medications and vaccinations
• Keeping Splash's (our boss mare, google it :) teeth healthy and dental care on point
