ACC CO Gives Fundraiser!

The African Community Center of Denver (ACC) is a refugee resettlement agency with a mission to help refugees and immigrants rebuild safe, sustainable lives in Colorado. They welcome families fleeing persecution from all over the world, from countries such as Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ukraine, and others. 

In FY2023, ACC welcomed over 1,350 refugees & immigrants- the highest number they’ve ever welcomed during a twelve month period. They need support from the community to continue providing services to the increasing number of newcomers arriving in the U.S.

During Colorado Gives Day, from November 1 through December 10, our donations will make twice the impact! Thanks to a $1M+ Incentive Fund from Colorado Gives Foundation and FirstBank, every dollar we contribute will go further to help them reach their $35,000 goal!

Your donation helps fill in the gaps for newcomers who need a bit of extra support in their initial months in the U.S. - helping pay a utilities bill, a grocery cart full of essential food items, or a bin filled with cleaning supplies

Donation Impact Levels

$25 provides initial hygiene items for a refugee family 

$50 provides a cleaning kit for a newcomer’s apartment 

$100 provides new sheets and pillows for a family 

$150 provides a twin bed frame & mattress for a refugee child 

$250 provides full cart of groceries including fresh fruits & vegetables 

$500 provides partial rent payment to family struggling with medical concerns
