"Receiving a sports scholarship had an enormous impact on my life. It allowed me to pursue my love of athletics at the collegiate level and decreased my family's financial load, especially since my mom has two kids in college and is the only one that works. Although I don't qualify for financial aid, my athletic scholarship helped me achieve my collegiate athlete dreams and afford the out-of-state tuition the school could not waive. Thanks to my coaches, teammates, and available resources, I achieved academic and athletic success. I became a more motivated, self-disciplined, and well-rounded person as a result of this. This scholarship has given me possibilities for my athletic career and motivated me to strive for excellence in all areas of my life."
