A Foot Above, the GWHS Athletics Committee, deeply appreciates your financial support. 

Your donation will help us to:

• maintain safe and up-to-date equipment & facilities

• fund uniforms & warm-ups for students unable to cover these costs

• fund team travel, meals, & tournament fees      

Our committee works to: 

• ensure fairness & equity for our female athletes and teams

• make sports participation accessible to all students, regardless of experience or ability to cover costs to play

• attract more students to athletics, knowing this can help students:

  1) develop strong relationships with teammates and coaches

  2) feel valued and recognized for their contributions to their team(s)

  3) improve their academic performance and mental health 

  4) gain the opportunity to compete to the best of their abilities and to win championships in their respective sports  

GW and other DPS high schools rely heavily on outside funding to meet the needs of our students. 

By raising the bar for athletics, we not only help our students, we build a sense of community, pride and commitment at GW that makes us a stronger school.
