HistoriCorps works to inspire a preservation ethic in all by engaging volunteers and students in saving historic places.

Since our founding in 2009, HistoriCorps crews have given new life to homesteads, mines, schoolhouses, ranches, fire lookout towers, forest ranger stations, and so much more.

This year HistoriCorps crews are working on historic sites in Hunter Creek Valley near Aspen, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, and Red Mountain Open Space in Larimer County, to name a few. Visit our website to learn more about upcoming and past projects.

Each place we work to preserve tells a piece of Colorado's rich, diverse history. Much like the stories each structure tells, the skills needed to take care of these important places risk being lost if action isn't taken.

That's why HistoriCorps' work is so important. We are training future generations to take care of the buildings and infrastructure that those who came before have left for us. In the process, we are equipping students with valuable skills for working in high-demand jobs in the trades.

With your support, we are looking forward to expanding our programming, teaching students the trades that save places and equipping new generations to be the caretakers of the buildings that hold our stories. Your gifts will provide the training and tools that help our students, staff, and volunteers succeed while preserving the historic places that matter to us.
