Growing Up Boulder

Growing Up Boulder is a nonprofit whose mission is to center young people's rights, voices, and agency to advance equitable and sustainable communities for all.

Growing Up Boulder's vision is to cultivate vibrant communities where all young people thrive.

With your help, Growing Up Boulder hears from kids on issues like mental health, safe transportation, policing, and climate change. For over 15 years, your support has helped young people shape Boulder and beyond.

When you give, you make sure all kids have a voice, especially those who need it most. All of our programs are free, and over half of the kids we work with are Black, Brown, Indigenous, LGBTQ, immigrants, have disabilities, or come from low-income families. Our small team works closely with over 1,000 kids each year to make sure they know they matter and have the chance to thrive.

Your impact and the cost of success:

$25 funds art supplies for a child, empowering kids to share their visions for the city.

$50 supports outreach to underserved youth, helping us include perspectives from every corner of Boulder.

$100 sponsors a project, connecting students with hands-on learning in urban planning, civic engagement, or nature connection.

$250 strengthens our partnerships so organizations can come together to problem solve in support of youth well-being in Boulder.

$500 sustains a team member at Growing Up Boulder who brings youth voices to the forefront of our community’s planning and development.

$1000 grows our work to coach other communities wishing to elevate kids’ voices.
