At the Clyfford Still Museum, we believe that brilliance is never achieved alone. Clyfford Still entrusted 93% of his life’s work to an unnamed American city, bypassing traditional museums and institutions. He believed in art as a community resource—a wellspring of strength and inspiration. Today, we honor that legacy by making CSM a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and fresh perspectives.

In 2024, we launched The Institute, a pioneering fellowship program that reimagines Clyfford Still’s legacy through the intersecting lenses of art, education, and social enterprise. This social enterprise component, a groundbreaking addition within the museum world, seeks to open new doors to financial sustainability for the creative sector. Through it, entrepreneurs bring the necessary ingenuity, impact-driven mindset, and drive to uncover fresh opportunities.
