Our Why

Our work for the Kempe Foundation is our hope for our son, Jack, and future generations to live in a community that’s not affected by child abuse and neglect. With the support of the Kempe Foundation and our community as whole, we are hopeful that children will not have to endure the short-term and lifelong impacts that often accompany this issue.

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to grow in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment. By supporting the Kempe Foundation, we seek to achieve that belief through these three primary activities. 

Supporting Experts:

The Kempe Foundation works alongside The Kempe Center, an international leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.

Engaging with Communities:

The organization partners with a network of caring community members committed to supporting professionals in the field of child abuse, neglect and trauma prevention.

Advocating for Children:

The Kempe Foundation has assembled a team of experts, legislators and advocates to advance policies that improve the lives of children and families in Colorado.
