This quote demonstrates Jeffco Communities That Care’s (Jeffco CTC’s) values and how, in all its coalition work, authentic engagement with youth is foundational, keeping youth voices at the center. Jeffco CTC's commitment also is clear in its mission, which is – in partnership with youth – to improve health, safety, and wellness in Jefferson County.

A youth-centered, county-wide coalition, Jeffco CTC's work is rooted in data and focuses on a collaborative community change process that utilizes the principles of prevention science. The coalition is currently focused on three priorities: preventing substance misuse; interpersonal violence, including relationship violence and sexual assault; and addressing feelings of hopelessness and anxiety among youth.
