Happy Giving Season! Four years ago, I joined the Kempe Foundation Board because of my ardent belief that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Today, roughly 1 in 7 children in this country experience child abuse or neglect, at a cost of ~$600B. These children need our support.
The Kempe Foundation is a network of people like you whose dollars directly support professionals in the field of child abuse, neglect & trauma treatment and prevention. We support research-based programs offered by Kempe Center, advance trainings for practitioners, and solutions that improve the lives of children and families.
Did you know? Youth experiencing trauma and child welfare involvement are typically at a higher risk for adverse outcomes, but they are also capable of demonstrating remarkable resilience with the right supports.
Fostering Healthy Futures (FHF) is an evidence-based mentoring and skills training program for youth with child welfare involvement. FHF programs employ a positive youth development approach to reduce trauma-related behaviors and promote healthy development.
This year, the Kempe Foundation’s goal is to raise $125,000 throughout the giving season. Giving Tuesday, a National Gives Day, is on December 3rd and Colorado Gives Day is on December 10th.
My personal goal is to raise $7,000 through the generosity of people like you, and I will match your gift, no matter the size!!! You can pre-schedule your gift for whatever day works for you.
Please make your gift today to help us create a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for every child.
I appreciate you considering a donation to The Kempe Foundation during this time of giving!
