This is the first time in history that the communities of Wright’s Mesa have had an endowment to invest 100% in our own future. The Lone Cone Legacy Trust provides a vehicle for anyone and everyone to support the future of our community. Those who live 3n Wright’s Mesa know it is a special place with unique challenges, and, with your support, we can help to secure its future and enrich the lives of the people who reside here.
No donation is too small or too large. All money raised will be used in our local community. The Wright’s Mesa area is home to breathtaking views, numerous outdoor activities, and, most importantly, wonderful people. We have all benefited from living in the community. The funds will support community development projects and grants to local nonprofits.
To achieve our goals, we have partnered with the Telluride Foundation to create and grow an endowment. Working with the Foundation allows us to maximize our investments and tap additional resources, all while maintaining local control over grantmaking and distributions.
The Lone Cone Legacy Trust board is dedicated to increasing the quality of life for Wright’s Mesa residents. In October, the Lone Cone Legacy Trust awarded $15,000 to 16 organizations serving the area as part of its annual grant program. The 2023 grant recipients include FRESH Foundation, Norwood Parks & Recreation, One to One Mentoring, and Tri-County Health Network. With funding from the Lone Cone Legacy Trust, these organizations will be able to implement initiatives ranging from youth development and education to sexual assault victim services in our community. Your donation will help us to increase the amount we can award to causes such as these each year.
