At its core, the ResqRanch is a sanctuary; a place for rescued horses to find peace and contentment in a world that has supplied them with very little of either.
While the horses will always be at the center of our mission, it's clear that the ResqRanch environment can be incredibly therapeutic for people as well. That's why the ResqRanch, with the support of key community partners, will begin hosting wellness services for veterans and their family members. This is just the next step in expanding the impact of our sanctuary. With your support and the support of others like you, we will continue to grow our impact within the veteran community, and throughout our community as a whole.
Thanks to an amazing group of volunteers, many of whom just joined us in 2024, we've already made significant progress! Dozens of people helped clear brush to make way for new horse trails AND the first Pathways Project paths. ConexSmart, an amazing local veteran-owned company, has committed ongoing donations and volunteer days to help!
Last but certainly not least, with a generous $15,000 health grant from the Colorado Gives Foundation, we're ready to begin construction on the first set of paths, benches, and outdoor spaces beginning in 2025!
Your donations will help us continue this important work. We'll be creating even more paths and outdoor spaces throughout the sanctuary. Future volunteer days will allow our collective impact to go even further, as donations are transformed into real-world change using a few tools and a lot of hard work. If you're interested in a 'ground up' mission that saves horses and supports our nation's veterans, you're in the right place! We need you!
