Moodfuel is an Indigenous woman-led news organization on a mission to increase equity for Colorado residents with unmet mental health needs. Through our newsletter and website, we offer inclusive, solutions-based journalism, reviews, commentary, strategies and guides for free, empowering readers to find a practical path to mental wellness.
If you’re struggling in Colorado’s rocky terrain of mental health, you’ll find the connection you've been missing. Our diverse team has lived experience with personal challenges, such as mental illness, neurodivergence, trauma, suicide loss, self-attempts or psychiatric subjugation. Moodfuel is for people who struggle by people who struggle.
Support Moodfuel's efforts as the only Colorado news organization focused solely on mental health journalism.
Your donation will fund:
- Well-researched, fact-checked articles by professional journalists reporting on the programs, policies and people affecting mental health across the state and nation
- Personal experience stories by diverse writers covering a spectrum of topics, such as medications, healthcare systems, traditional and alternative therapies and brain diseases
- Expert commentary by clinicians, therapists and other mental health professionals
- In-depth feature articles by student journalists passionate about youth mental health and wellness
- Recognition of Changemakers smoothing the way forward in our state and Thrivers developing healthy coping skills
- Coverage of mental health-related state legislation, and
- Consumer and community guides to inform and inspire.
Any donation you make is tax-deductible thanks to our fiscal sponsorship by the Colorado News Collaborative (COLab), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working with newsrooms like ours statewide to strengthen local, public service journalism.
