Greg's Tabor Opera House Fundraiser 2024

Dear Friends & Family, 

Join us in achieving our big vision: Revitalize Leadville's historic Tabor Opera House and build a community hub for arts and culture, welcoming all.

The Tabor Opera House has been deemed a National Treasure by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and by Public Opinion of Colorado history lovers like all of us who volunteer our time and energy.  As the Treasurer of the Tabor Opera House Preservation Foundation for the last 6 years, my family fully supports the rebuilding and funding efforts within the Leadville Community.  The picture above is when we attended Boom Days 2023 for the Tabor Opera House.  We attend as many historical events in Leadville and for the Tabor, and it's preservation has become integral to our family dynamic and fun family weekend activities.

We have arrived at a pivotal moment in the building's 145-year history, we are almost done with exterior rehab and now need to build our capacity to begin a multi-million dollar and multi-year campaign to rehabilitate the entire interior. 

Donations of $250 or more are eligible for an additional 25% State of CO income tax credit through our Enterprise Zone Status!

2025 goals include 

• Restoration of the Storefront Windows and Woodwork
• Another summer season of historic tours and events serving more than 5000 locals and visitors
• Growing the impact of our Tabor Youth Collective Programs
• Creating a Capital Campaign Plan to thoughtfully guide our fundraising and rehab work for the coming years.
