Sponsor a Student for Colorado Gives Day!

Colorado Gives Day is a special event where all donations are boosted by an incentive pool, helping your dollars go further! It's also when Polaris raises the majority of our one-time gifts. 

This year, we are are seeking 100% participation from every family!

 

No donation is too small. All donations from 11/1/23 - 12/5/23 help us unlock matching funds from Colorado Gives. Plus, overall participation is another way we receive additional funding.

Where does the money go?

• Covers the salaries of paraprofessionals at each grade level
• Funds a school social worker who is specifically trained in meeting the social-emotional needs of HGT children
• Enables Friday electives, fine arts programming, field trips, and teacher supplies
• Makes Teacher Appreciation activities possible

What is a suggested donation?

Anything that you can give!

While our goal is to raise $60,000 for our North Star Fund this year, it's even more important that we collectively come together to support the community that we know and love!

We need to raise $700 per student this school year (total of $216,000) to make up the gap in funding from the school district. Here's how we spend the money we raise:

• $15 buys a gift card for a STAR teacher
• $25 covers an hour of a paraprofessional's time in the classroom
• $60 enables two Friday electives
• $180 funds one Teacher Supply request
• $360 purchases one Teacher Appreciation meal
• $700 fully funds SEL, paras, electives, and more for 1 student
• $1,400 fully funds SEL, paras, electives, and more for 2 students
• $3,000 covers the cost of one New Line board for a classroom

Polaris PTO is a parent-run, volunteer organization whose mission is to provide financial and volunteer support to Polaris Elementary School.
