Policy Pinky Party

Policy Pinky Parties will bring local businesses together to discuss important community topics in hope to create policies to protect our communities.

We want to focus and hear exclusively from business owners; giving them opportunity to voice out concerns and share information they have to help GBC understand and further implement old/new/future policies.

Our focus is to create an effective but uplifting event where it allows a safe space for business owners to share ongoing issues they have in their community. This can reap all kinds of benefits, one of the most obvious being greater transparency into upper power policymaking; benefits also include generating awareness to the public, getting early feedback before legislation, building community culture and introducing new GBC team members to a broader audience.

We believe that this is the best way for upper policy/elected officials to connect with people on other levels, creating more transparency into the state legislative process and how decisions are made that impact event attendees. Opening up to a conversation on big and upcoming topics to a wider team can help people who are not currently engaged in policy advocacy feel aware of what's going on in their state legislature. Long term, making participants feel included and empowered to participate in the process can improve state policy and provide participants with a sense of satisfaction and ownership of their communities' futures.
