Veteran's Day - VetXTherapy

Veteran's Exploration Therapy is a non-profit organization working to reach veteran's and their family members through wilderness therapy in order to lessen veteran suicide. This year we have run 34 programs and have reached over 350 veterans and their family members.

My name is Shea and I am raising these funds because this organization is very close to me, as I lost a veteran friend to suicide in 2015. I know he would've enjoyed our events as he was the first person to introduce me to indoor rock climbing and enjoyed being active around Colorado Springs. I do this in his memory in hopes that others don't have to experience the same thing.

I have been involved with the organization for 1 1/2 years and enjoy doing everything I can to help out. I am currently Treasurer on the Board of Directors, I have helped to facilitate skydiving, snorkeling and painting events, and I was the emcee at our 2024 fundraiser, and have represented VET at several other networking/marketing events. We are a 2 year old organization that is empowering veterans, service members, and their families to explore the wilderness and therapeutic pathways through outdoor recreation. We are reducing veteran suicide by providing community and resources to veterans who may have fallen through the cracks of the current system.
