Lindsey's 2024 Bikes Together Fundraiser

Bikes Together is a community bike space that is transforming our community through bicycle access and education. I've been a volunteer since 2017 and joined the board in the fall of 2020. I am passionate about raising money for Bikes Together because our focus is education, encouraging curiosity, and creating an inclusive space. 

Your donations will help us move forward our mission!

Donating $25 - Supports 1 hour of mechanic instruction during 40-minute Learn & Repair Appointment.

Donating $50 - Covers the cost of mechanic labor to replace tubes and tires during a Pay-What-You-Can appointment.

Donating $70 - Truck maintenance for 1 month to carry recyclable scrap metal (bikes that could not be salvaged, after all the reusable parts have been removed by staff and volunteers) to the metal recycling center, keeping them out of the landfill. We recycle 16,000 + pounds annually!

Donating $275 - Covers the cost of participant registration for 1 Gender Equality Mechanics Class to develop the leadership of women, trans, femme, LGBTQ and nonbinary mechanics in the bike industry.

Donating $1,000 - One week of shop programming (materials, staff labor, etc).

Since opening day, Bikes Together has gone from an intermittently open shop to the fully staffed (by paid employees and volunteers), full service bike shop that offers space, classes, bicycles, parts, recycling, and community. We have grown partnerships with public, private and nonprofit agencies, expanded programming specifically by and for populations historically excluded from bike culture (especially women, transgender & femme people of all races and Black, Indigenous and People of Color of all genders), and grown the number of bicycles we recover, recycle, repair, refurbish and return to the streets, all while empowering a new generation of Denverites to fix and renew things instead of throwing them away.

We envision a world where bike access and education is equitable and where Denverites are connected, curious, joyful, safe on bicycles, and have agency over their own transportation.
