We are leading the way in innovative approaches to solving homelessness that make sure everyone belongs and has what they need… and it’s working! As one of the few homeless service providers in Denver that proudly supports trans and nonbinary folks, join our community of support and belonging! As human beings we were Born to Belong, to be part of a community, to be surrounded by the love and support of our family, friends, and broader community. Unfortunately today, for many reasons, so many people find themselves without that sense of belonging, without the support they need. Finding yourself without resources, without a place to sleep, or support to turn to is devastating and leaves the guests and residents we serve with various forms of trauma. What we truly believe, and what we see in the lives of the guests and residents at Delores, is that creating a place where there is belonging, where people can feel safe, secure, and accepted is part of healing that trauma and helping them find their place in our community again. Whether it be something as simple as using correct names and pronouns or something as serious as finding adequate and safe housing, the work of creating this kind of space, of Building Belonging, is at the heart of our work and mission. It’s who we are!
